A significant number of manufacturing companies still use Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, and have not made any upgrades to AX 2012 R3 or a later software release. While most of these firms are addressing their upgrade strategy and timing, many are also attempting to improve current system usage. Based on my consulting with some of these firms, master scheduling and supply chain management remain areas where companies can continue to improve, even with an older AX system.
